Cherry Blossom Festival | Auburn Botanic Gardens

Get excited for spring! The annual Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival at Auburn Botanic Gardens is ready to flower.

From Saturday 16 – Sunday 24 August 2025 you can come and enjoy the delicate pink blush of cherry blossoms in the superb Japanese garden. Bridges, waterfalls, a tea house and those blossoms – it has to be one of the most Instagrammable festivals in town.

More than 100,000 people are expected to pass through the gates over the course of the festival, which also celebrates Japanese culture, cuisine and craftsmanship.

While you’re at the Auburn Botanic Gardens, you can enjoy everything else it has to offer too. There’s a Fauna Park where you can see red-necked wallabies, emus and Milo the wombat. There’s a Native Garden including a billabong and a stand of rainforest. And there’s the sunken rose garden and the Reflection Pool.

If that’s not enough, there’s also an aviary showcasing a range of brilliant Australian birds, and the Peacock Gallery which features the work of local artists as well as workshops, activities and artist in residence programs.

Come and see the Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival at Auburn Botanic Gardens and discover a whole lot more.
