Ballina Coast and Hinterland

The Ballina Coast and Hinterland is a region truly blessed by mother nature. In the heart of the Northern Rivers it boasts pristine beaches, lush valleys and rainforests, with hinterland villages that are rich in food, arts and culture. Mel pops into the charming village of Newrybar to eat at the iconic Harvest Newrybar. It’s a bakery, café and restaurant, all rolled into one and housed in a rustic cottage with gorgeous gardens growing the freshest seasonal produce imaginable. The menu is truly Australian with native ingredients and local Ballina prawns a major highlight!

Just ten-minutes drive away, is the Teven Valley Golf Course (pronounced TEE-ven) where Mel checks out their brand new 9-hole golf course. Located in a stunning valley between Lennox Head and Alstonville in the Ballina hinterland, it’s been described as “the prettiest little golf course on the north coast. The perfect place to get a golf lesson from a Pro followed by sundowner drinks admiring the valley views.
