Collins Laneway | Rose Bay

Rose Bay is a Sydney harbourside gem, but step into the backstreets, and you’ll discover it’s so much more than just a beautiful bay!

Part of the recent ‘Streets as Shared Spaces’ initiative, by Woollahra Council, Collins Laneway has had a major glow-up and now oozes Mediterranean vibes! What was once a forgotten bland, back alley, has been transformed into a colourful, vibrant and dog- friendly laneway, featuring murals and works by local artists. There’s also more works in the surrounding alleyways, including a street mural by artist Sharon Billinge – ‘Beach, Bark and Banksias’- paying tribute to Rose Bay’s famous dog-friendly beach which is only metres away.

Collins Laneway is alive with shops, like Made on Earth, which sells stunning and unique homewares and gifts, including pieces from Italy and Asia. And for those after a great brekky, lunch, or brunch spot, Collins Lane Cafe is a vibrant, colourful cafe where guests can enjoy great coffee and a range of signature dishes, from eggs benedict, to smoked salmon French toast. Those with a sweet tooth will love the French toast with brioche, fresh berries, house-made berry compote and mascarpone.
