Discover Boating

Real freedom is being able to go anywhere you want, when you want. And when you have your own boat, you can do just that.

We headed out on an Australian-made Seachange SCBX powered by a mighty Suzuki 80 horse power motor to explore Pittwater. Our first stop was just past Palm Beach on the still water side, where a family of seals has taken up residency on the rocks. You need to keep your distance, but what a way to see these incredible creatures.

Next, we turned into to one of the secluded beaches on Pittwater’s western shore, Portuguese Beach. You can drop anchor here and swim, explore the beach or even stay here overnight on your boat.

Another Pittwater gem is Towlers Bay, a well-protected haven that boat-lovers around here know well. Again, there’s a beach to explore, or just pull up on a public mooring and dive off the side.

After a fun morning on the water, why not drop in to the Clareville Kiosk for lunch. It’s got a casual, contemporary, beachy vibe and chef Nathan Boler will have a sensational menu on, no matter what the season.

Boating and eating – what a heavenly combination!
