Explore Wallaga Lake with CCIA

There aren’t many holiday parks that can boast stunning beaches, on one side, and an expansive lake on the other. But that’s exactly what you’ll find at the BIG4 Wallaga Lake Holiday Park in Wallaga Lake, on the far south coast of NSW.

There are many things to love about this park, from the swimming pool, jumping pillow, kids playground and pedal bikes, but the real action centres around the stunning saltwater, tidal lake. Wallaga Lake is also the biggest lake in southern NSW, and when you stay at the park you have plenty of opportunities to explore it on kayaks and canoes, which are available to those staying in the park. There are also a couple of tinnies for hire, at the park, so you can try your hand at catching one of the many varieties of edible fish, from flathead to mullaway, that live in the lake.

Nature aside, the huge attraction within this park is the Camel Rock Restaurant and Brewery. Swing in to sample the many craft beers, brewed on site, in the only microbrewery in a holiday park, anywhere in the state. The beers are fantastic and complement a menu big on American-style food including a range of burgers and southern-style chicken wings. There is also regular live music and entertainment, making for a great lunch or dinner.

Make sure you head out of the park too, to explore this beautiful part of the world. Camel Beach, which is patrolled during the summer, is just across the road, and there are some incredible natural landmarks to marvel at, including the striking horse-head rock monument.
