Get Back to Nature at Fitzroy Falls

At the north- eastern end of the beautiful Morton National Park is one of NSW’s most spectacular waterfalls, Fitzroy Falls.

Dropping over 80m, the falls have been a popular tourist attraction since the early 19th Century, and the area offers a stunning view of the million-year-old escarpment and the Yarrunga Valley below.

Just off the road between Bowral and Kangaroo Valley, Fitzroy Falls Visitor Centre is easily accessible, with all day parking for $4. From the carpark, it’s an easy stroll along a boardwalk to the first viewing platform, but there are longer walks if you want to get your bushwalking fix.

The Visitor Centre itself also offers great information on the local wildlife, history and Aboriginal culture of the area.

Just down the road is another Southern Highlands secret, the stunningly beautiful Life at Springfield, at Avoca.

Spread over 20 acres of gorgeous gardens and paddocks just brimming with life, the homestead and barn can host up to 20 people for a weekend retreat made to nourish your body and soul.

If gardening is your thing, Farmer Pete can guide you through an introduction to permaculture. Or there are bespoke retreats for writing, sleeping, or just reconnecting.
