Hunter Valley with Kids

The Hunter Valley might not be the obvious choice, when choosing a family getaway, but now there are even more reasons to pack up the kids, and head to this beautiful part of NSW!

The Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley is going above-and-beyond to appeal to families with their new ‘Kids Cottage’. This purpose-built cottage has an open- plan bedroom for the adults, plus a living area and kitchenette, as well as a second, kids bunk room that is sure to impress. The bunk room features a bunk bed, an additional single, as well as a TV and posters featuring kids films. The cottage is also fenced off, so kids can play safely outside. During events, and at certain times of the year, there is also a carousel in operation, and mini-train rides throughout the hotel grounds. But perhaps the biggest new addition is the Hunter Valley’s very first water park featuring a giant, tipping water bucket, slides and water cannons, so the kids can enjoy hours of fun.

If you’re looking for a family- friendly winery, Tulloch Wines have an experience for all age groups, including children, teenagers and teetotallers. The ‘Junior Tasting Experience’ features an array of soft drinks, matched with various foods from salty to sweet, that are aimed at developing children’s taste palettes. For the teens, there’s a kombucha tasting experience too.

If you’re a family who likes action, a trip to Aqua Golf & Putt Putt Hunter Valley is a must! You and the kids will love to get into the swing of things here, as you hit balls out onto a giant, picturesque lake. There’s prizes to be won, including some incredible Hunter Valley experiences.
