Izy.Aki | Paddington

Japan may be thousands of kilometres from Sydney, but the tastes and the vibes of a back street bar in Osaka, are closer than you think!

Located in Paddington, Izy.Aki is the first of its kind in Sydney, where in place of a menu, diners are treated to a 6 -10 course “Omakase” meal, curated by owner and celebrated Chef Darren Templeman.

The menu is seasonal and changes daily, although several dishes are so popular, they remain as permanent fixtures. Signature dish ‘The Egg’ is a free- range egg garnished with white onion puree, foie gras, smoked eel and golden trout roe. Working the Japanese “Yakiniku” grill, is head chef Bonnie, who cooks incredible dishes over the fire. For the meal finale, the ‘Hokkaido Souffle Cheesecake’, flavoured with matcha and strawberries, and served with mascarpone ice cream is heaven on a plate!

Izy.Aki also serves a range of unique Japanese and Asian inspired cocktails, made from their signature vodka and gin featuring Australian botanicals as well as whisky. At Izy.Aki you can experience the incredible flavours of Japan, made from the finest seasonal Australian produce.
