Jervis Bay Dive is one of only four dive operators, in NSW, who have been granted permits to actually swim with the whales. Whales swim up and down the coast of NSW, on both their northerly and southerly migrations, on a route they call the ‘humpback highway’, so their presence off-shore is pretty much guaranteed through-out several times of the year. Jervis Bay conducts swims with small groups, who are briefed on what to do, and what not to do, when entering the water with the whales. Sighting a majestic whale, with the potential to see both Southern Right and Humpback Whales, is a magical and unforgettable experience- being so close to these gentle, giants of the sea. Those who sign up for the swim will also cruise past the resident Australian and New Zealand fur seals, who languor on dramatic outcrops.

Just inland from Huskisson, is Tomerong, and The Woods Farm. Set amongst forty acres of eucalyptus forest, The Woods Farm consists of eight, individually styled, three-bedroom cottages, and several ‘glamping’ tents. The cottages can either be hired individually, or the property as a whole, for those special occasions like weddings or family gatherings. There are several facilities on the farm, including a pool and a kid’s playground. There are also some great activities for the whole family to enjoy, including feeding the many animals, picking veges, and collecting fresh eggs.
