If you’re fast running out of ideas on how to keep the kids entertained, then sometimes you just have to get creative. And we’ve found two places in Burwood that can help.
First is Twinkle Kids, part café, part playhouse that is designed to spark any kid’s imagination, whether they’re babies, preschoolers or even primary school age. They can play doctors in the Twinkle Hospital, cook up a storm in the kitchen, go shopping at the organic market or dress up in heaps of different costumes.
There are plenty of chances to just play too, from the ball pit, to the climbing frame, to the giant Lego building blocks. And when lunch rolls around, you know you’re in the right place. Order up some kids classics like nugget or chips, or maybe try a Japanese rice bowl or a salad.
Not far away is Kidz Artworx, a hands-on arts and crafts school where kids can learn all sorts of different ways to be creative. There are classes and courses covering drawing, painting, pottery, portraiture, cartooning – just about anything you can imagine.
Teacher Jane King takes them through the techniques and materials they need to bring their artistic visions to life.
So next time your imagination is running thin, you know where to take the kids. Burwood!
