My Fair Lady returns to the Sydney Opera House this September, celebrating 70 years since its Broadway debut.
Claire Lyon takes on the iconic role of Eliza Doolittle, the Cockney flower girl transformed by phonetics professor Henry Higgins, played by Olivier Award winner Nathaniel Parker. The production is based on Julie Andrews’ acclaimed 2016 Australian season, now directed by Karen Johnston Mortimer, with Julie Andrews still guiding the production and involved in approving the key cast.
With a score featuring Wouldn’t It Be Loverly, I Could Have Danced All Night and Get Me to the Church on Time, My Fair Lady remains one of the world’s most loved musical treasures, playing at the Sydney Opera House from 10 September – 31 October 2026.
It’s a double celebration this year, with Opera Australia also marking its own platinum 70th anniversary alongside the show’s milestone.
