The Blue Mountains are not only a national treasure, they’re a UNESCO World Heritage site. And taking people up and down- and across- this incredible mountain range for decades is Scenic World.
Scenic World has plenty of rides to help people explore this ancient landscape, and it all began with the hugely popular Scenic Railway. The steepest passenger railway in the world, the Scenic Railway takes you down the rockface train at a thrilling incline of fifty two degrees! Visitors get to choose their seat settings, from ‘Original’, to ‘Laid Back’ and, for the thrill-seekers at heart, there’s the ‘Cliffhanger’ option which gives riders the chance to further recline their seats to sixty four degrees!
Once you’ve descended, via the Scenic Railway, you can enjoy the incredible, Jurassic landscape as you walk along the Scenic Walkway- an elevated wooden boardwalk that meanders through and above the temperate rainforest. To get back up to the top, just jump aboard the Scenic Skyway, for another perspective on the mountain range and the famous Three Sisters.
The most thrilling of all the rides at Scenic World, is the Scenic Cableway, which takes people across the Jamison Valley at a mesmerising height of five hundred and forty-five metres above! And now there’s a new attraction- Beyond Skyway- which takes people beyond anything they’re experienced in The Blue Mountains before! Riders can now climb out and onto the top of the iconic cable car, attached via harness, and experience uninterrupted three hundred and sixty degree views of the Blue Mountains. As well as great views, guests can also enjoy an alfresco mocktail, and a post-ride glass of champagne below in the cabin, upon return. This is an experience not to be missed!
