If you love the idea of making your own stuff, but don’t know where to start – I’ve got three words for you – sew, make, create!
Located in downtown Chippendale, in Sydney, ‘Sew Make Create’ is a community-minded space and workshop where fellow crafters can gather to make cool stuff.
You can use the space to work on your own creative projects, or sign up for one of the many creative classes on offer. Workshops include beginners crochet and sewing classes, as well as more advanced sewing classes, and even ‘upcycling’ where old things are transformed into new things. There’s also scent blending with natural oils and natural skincare workshops, as well as classes for kids and young adults. And for those keen to take their hobby to the next level, you can also purchase Janome sewing machines, and other craft-related items, on site.
Making your own things is not only good for the creative spirit, it’s also good for your wallet and the environment!
