Slow Down in Sydney

Taking a slow approach to life, is fast becoming the new way of living for Sydney Siders… and you don’t have to escape the city to do it! This week Teigan treats herself to a wellness weekend for the mind, body and soul.

First up, she hits Slow House, a brand-new centre for wellness and restoration. Offering saunas, ice baths and a holistic approach to healing – this space oozes the calm that you need when escaping the crazy of the city. Slow House lives by the mantras of slow living – a lifestyle choice devoted to living in a more balanced, meaningful, and life-affirming way, making conscious everyday decisions to help decelerate modern life. The studio emulates the designs of Roman Bathing culture, soft and minimalist that soothes the mind.

After a morning of pampering and sweating it out, Teigan heads straight to Eden Bondi. A fairly new kid on the block, this 100% plant-based restaurant is serving dishes in all the right ways. Delicious and nutritious meals full of colour and flavour. Don’t miss crowd pleasers like the ‘Salt and Pepper Kalamari’ or the ‘Popcorn Cauli,’ or any of their to die for salad bowls.

But to make a real weekend of it, Teigan heads to The Baxley for the night. Boutique accommodation tucked away on a leafy street of South Bondi, The Baxley offers up to 30 guest rooms with both shared and ensuite bathroom facilities. The Hampton’s inspired designs and coastal atmosphere bring a sense of laid-back calm, perfect for settling into the Bondi lifestyle.
