Springtime at Sydney Zoo

Keeping the kids entertained can be hard at the best of times…but not at the new Sydney Zoo in Western Sydney! Home to over four thousand native and exotic animals, there’s always something ‘new’ at the new Sydney Zoo! And there’s no better time to visit than springtime, when the zoo population expands with new additions. And the newest member of the zoo family is a cute koala joey, the very first koala joey, to be born at Sydney Zoo. Come and marvel at the cute joey, and wander the new ‘Koala Trail’, where you can spot a whole colony of koalas, just hanging out in the trees!

At the new Sydney Zoo, the animal encounters are next level! And hitting new heights is the new Squirrel Monkey Encounter! You and the kids will love the chance to feed and hang out with these cute primates, while they feed and gently clamber over you. Other animal experiences include the Capybara Encounter where you can get up close with the largest rodents in the world. The happy capybaras love you to feed them bamboo, and give them plenty of scratches.

Other Sydney Zoo highlights include the ‘Mini Keeper for a Day’ experience, where kids get to feed and care for a multitude of animals, from sweet sugar gliders, to African painted dogs!

Feeding the animals is a great experience, and to feed your mob, there are plenty of options at Sydney Zoo. And who doesn’t love a Ferris wheel ride, where you’ll get to see the zoo, from a whole new view!
