Spring may have sprung, but it really kicks into gear this October at Griffith Spring Fest!
From October 12th – 25th, there’s something for everyone with events and experiences happening across the city. The “main squeeze” is the incredible collection of citrus sculptures lining Banna Avenue. There are 60 sculptures in total, made from over 100,000 locally grown oranges and grapefruit.
Get into the Springtime spirit at the street party on Friday October 17th when the whole community comes together for a night of fun, food and entertainment. Enjoy live music, children’s activities, and fabulous food with local beer and wine, all set amongst the glowing citrus sculptures.
Explore the region’s finest private gardens during the Open Gardens Weekend, October 18th & 19th. Fill your camera roll with the most fabulous floral photos as you wander through incredible gardens brought to life by talented local gardeners. Or if you prefer to sit back and see the gardens from the comfort of a coach, hop on a Garden Bus Tour October 15, 18, 19 & 22, complete with garden visits and a light lunch.
After you frolic amongst the flowers, you can explore the rest of the city when you Discover Griffith – one of Australia’s most vibrant cosmopolitan centres. Located in the heart of the NSW Riverina, Griffith exudes a rich blend of cultures and traditions. Bursting with life and energy, the main street is dominated by Italian cafés serving great coffee, pizza, local wine and house-made gelato. With friendly people, impressive boutique shopping, world-class wines and delectable food – make time to Visit Griffith.
