Vivid Sydney, one of the world’s leading multi-artform festivals, transforms the city into a vibrant hub of creativity, innovation and community connection. And for the first time in 2026, the festival will bring the city to life – both day and night!

Wonderverse

Designed for families with children aged 4-10, it’s a guided imaginative adventure through worlds of colour, imagination and play, with sessions during the day and evening.
Cristal Palace

Show starts at 7.30pm
The Sydney Opera House Forecourt will be transformed into a baroque ballroom, complete with a giant chandelier and airborne wind orchestra. It’s a 70-minute show of pure spectacle featuring aerial trapeze, silks, hoop acts, clowning, musicians and dancers. It’s a dazzling, joyful and theatrical performance with grandeur, humour and audience participation.
Tumbalong Nights

Tumbalong Nights lights up Darling Harbour with 23 nights of free live music including a diverse line-up of global performers, Australian favourites and emerging talent — from pop and indie to First Nations storytelling and world music. There’s plenty of dining options with food trucks, bars and the Vivid Light Walk just steps away.
Vivid Fire Kitchen

At its new home in Barangaroo Reserve, Vivid Fire Kitchen is for all ages, where families can come together over food, creativity and light. Bringing global and local chefs together for open‑fire cooking demonstrations, tastings and conversations, the free nightly program celebrates bold flavours and shared stories.
Vivid Light Walk

Vivid Light Walk transforms Sydney’s streets, parks and buildings into a wonderland. Easier to explore than ever, this year’s Vivid Light Walk is an unbroken 6.5km of art, large-scale projections, and interactive installations that pushes creative and technological boundaries. For the first time, Vivid Sydney includes daytime programming, with a selection of activities, installations, sculptures, talks, performances and food events to enjoy.
