What do you get when you convert what was once Australia’s largest paper mill into a dining precinct? The Paper Mill Food! It’s located in Liverpool in Sydney’s west, and was built in the 1800s. The old mill formerly employed over 100 men, women and children.

Today, a stunning conversion has taken place to create a space consisting of four different dining options. For those after a quick bite, Shephard’s Lane Café and Dessert Bar is the go-to spot. There are freshly cut rolls and pastries, but the specialty is waffles. Choose from an indulgent range of flavour combinations, from the Traditional — with Nutella, strawberries, and gianduja gelato — to a ‘Lebanese Cocktail’ with pistachio ice cream along with avocado and orange blossom sauce!
For casual dining options, there’s Charcoal Joe’s, where you’ll find high quality, tasty Lebanese-style fast food chicken, kebabs, salads and more. For pizza lovers, Georgie’s Pizza certainly delivers, with a range of Neapolitan-style pizzas cooked in the wood-fired pizza oven. If you’re looking for a finer dining experience, there’s Firepit. As the name suggests, at Firepit, most of the meats — and some veggies — are cooked over a charcoal fire, imbuing many of the dishes with delectable, smoky flavours. Choose from a range of the finest cuts — from steaks to ribs — and a selection of fresh seafood dishes.
Wherever you dine in Paper Mill Food, the space is imbued with a wonderful sense of history, and the dining options, conveniently located under one roof, are nothing short of sensational!
