We’ve already had one Hong Kong in Sydney adventure focusing on water, this time we’re looking at wellness.
We’re starting off in the Chinese Garden of Friendship in Darling Harbour with a basic tai chi lesson. Tai chi is an exercise regime designed to calm your mind, strengthen your muscles and slow you down. You can see people across the parks of Hong Kong doing it as part of their daily exercise.
While you’re in the Chinese Gardens of Friendship, why not stop in for lunch at The Gardens by Lotus. It’s one of the most stunning and authentic locations for a Cantonese restaurant in Sydney, and the food is just as stunning and authentic.
Try a selection of the dumplings, including the signature soup dumpling, then move on to the wok fried black pepper beef, the steamed barramundi fillet or the chilli oyster king prawns with asparagus. Make sure you order a Hong Kong staple – ginger and shallot noodles – on the side.
End your day with a visit to Chinese Ginseng and Herbs which sells around 13,000 different herbs and teas. It’s the perfect place to have your first encounter with eastern medicine, or the place to stock up if you’re an old hand.
In Hong Kong, good health means good luck, and we can all do with a bit of both.
PLUS…You could WIN a trip to Hong Kong!
