This lovely cafe located in Francis Park has all the markings of a family- friendly restaurant. Open-air, with a children’s playground right next door, and the food is sensational too!
Owner and Head Chef – Sam Hayek, draws on his Lebanese roots to bring his diners a Middle Eastern fusion menu, with many dishes his childhood favourites. Some of the highlight dishes include a breakfast Shakshuka, made from clay-pot baked eggs with tomato, capsicum and organic merguez sausage ragu, served with house-made bread.
If you’re in a group, or just keen to share, the Lebanese Mezze board includes all your favourites, with a selection of meats – shish tawook, kibbi balls. lamb kafta, grilled halloumi, falafel, house-made dips, olives, veggies and fresh Lebanese bread.
Make sure you leave room for a sweet treat, as Sam’s famous Pancakes on the Grounds are to die for. They are topped with mascarpone, fresh strawberries, blueberries, crushed pistachios, and served with pure maple syrup!
