If you love Dolly Parton, there’s a musical that’s just perfect for you. Here You Come Again, starring the incredible Tricia Paoluccio in the role of Dolly, has arrived at the Theatre Royal.
The show is set in the home of Kevin, a 40-something Dolly super fan who has hit hard times and moved back in with his parents. As he hits rock bottom, he conjures an imaginary friendship with Dolly that starts to turn his life around.
The show was cowritten by Paoluccio, who was given the worldwide rights to Dolly’s image and songs for the musical from the artist herself. The show perfectly captures the essence of Dolly herself – her joy, her kindness and her indominable spirit.
Musical director Andrew Worboys commands a multi-talented band onstage from the attic of Kevin’s home, and Dash Kruck turns in a fantastic performance in the role of Kevin.
