Singer, actor, performer Casey Donovan is a true national treasure. And after treading the boards in musical theatre for the last few years in shows like Sister Act, Chicago and 9 to 5 the Musical, she’s back on the road with a national tour – This is Me.
One of Casey’s favourite Sydney spots, is Sydney Park in Alexandria. The park is a refuge in the Inner West and features four different wetlands designed to be habitats for different species – microbats, grasshoppers, lizards and birds. It’s also a great place to plane watch, people watch and puppy watch.
When she gets a bit peckish, she heads to The Sultan’s Table at Enmore, a Turkish stalwart serving huge helpings of incredibly tasty food, made fresh on the premises daily. Casey loves the dips, the grills, the pides and the salads.
And for a creative feast, she heads to Cork & Chroma, a paint and sip studio offering an Art Menu of drawing, painting and much more. As an accomplished visual artist, Casey uses painting to relax and focus after a busy day.
Walking outdoors in nature, enjoying Turkish food and getting creative while painting – that’s how Casey Donovan likes to spend her Sydney Weekend and you can too when you visit some of her favourite places in town!
