Art is everywhere! Come and explore the newest creative scene in one of Sydney’s most vibrant neighborhoods – Burwood.
Public art has never been more important – bringing joy and inspiration to local communities. And some of the BEST public art is in Burwood- in Sydney’s inner west.
The Enfield Murals Project features artwork by four local artists – George Rose, Thomas Jackson, Georgia Draws a House, Sharon Billinge and Love is a Sign – on streets and laneways around the Burwood area. The art trail was also a recent finalist, for Best Street Art, at the Australian Street Art Awards.
At most art galleries, touching the art is off-limits but one artwork, in the heart of Burwood, is creating a bridge between art and play. Columns des Burwood is an artwood by local artist, Nadia Odlum, and is based on a similar artwork in Paris by artist Daniel Buren called Colonnes des Buren. Columns des Burwood encourages people to interact, and play, with the colourful mural, or just sit and enjoy the space.

As well as traditional painting workshops, owner Justin also runs quirky workshops, including Fluid Bear, Art Toy and Custom Mirror workshops where you get to create your very own, bespoke masterpieces.
