If you love good food, good times, and good views, Laughin’ Boy– in Emu Plains- is your kind of cafe! Located in a lovely, heritage-listed building, on the banks of the Nepean River, Laughin’ Boy has both indoor and outdoor seating, overlooking the river. Menu highlights include the deep dish pancakes- with apple, blueberries, mascarpone, Golden Gaytime popcorn and butterscotch sauce- and the carrot and sweet corn fritters. Two local Penrith lads had a dream to own their own brewery- and with a bit of hard yakka- Rusty Penny Brewing was born! What began as a nano brewery has grown to become a microbrewery, testament to the quality, and popularity, of the brews. Rusty Penny brews 12 staple beers, on site, with additional beers being added regularly. You can try all the beers, best experienced with one of their paddles, and some of their delicious BBQ’d meats, also smoked on site. Diners can create their own, bespoke ‘Rusty’s BBQ Board’ where they choose four smoked meats- with the star being the brisket- and additional sides, including smoked corn, crispy smashed potatoes, onion rings and buttermilk ranch slaw.
