Isuzu & Royal Flying Doctor Service – Special Partnership

It might be an airborne service, but the Royal Flying Doctor Service needs plenty of support on the ground.

So when they needed a vehicle to tow their fleet of Aeromedical Simulators to events and schools around the country, Isuzu Ute Australia stepped up, providing Isuzu D-Max’s for the purpose.

The RFDS Aeromedical Simulator Program, which travels from town to town, gives an insightful and hands-on demo of what it’s like to fly a life-saving mission. The Simulators are a great way for the general public to get a very real sense of the work the Royal Flying Doctor Service does and how it does it. The cabin is fitted out in the same way as the actual aircrafts, giving people a new appreciation of how these professionals get their jobs done in often challenging environments.

We dropped in on the Aeromedical Simulator at Dubbo’s Vintage Truck, Tractor and Quilt show and met some of the volunteers that keep this service running.

It really does a great job of informing and inspiring the public around the work of the Royal Flying Doctors. And thanks to Isuzu Ute Australia, it could be coming to an event near you soon.
