The pristine waterways of NSW need to be celebrated, and that’s what Central Coast Council does every year through a magical 10-day event – The Lakes Festival, which runs from Friday, November 3rd to Sunday, November 12th.
There is entertainment, art activities, educational sessions and even free kayak tours, celebrating Tuggerah Lake and Budgewoi Lake and the adjoining parklands, and much more.
The biggest event in the program is Light Up The Lake, which will be held at Memorial Park at the Entrance on November 4th. It features bands such as Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, The Buoys and RAT Hammock, and heaps of roving performers like Curious Creators, fun activities and fantastic food. The night culminates in a jetpack show on the lake and a spectacular fireworks show.
Other events focus on family fun and lots of arts and crafts. Roundabout Circus will be appearing at a bunch of events, including the Sunset Sessions at Lions Park Woy Woy on November 10th. Organised by arts and mental wellness crew Ethereal Misfits, it will also feature an interactive art tent from the very colourful Crud Muffins.
Plan your stay now and book a spot at the Toowoon Bay Holiday Park. Van sites, campsites and incredibly comfortable cabins are all here waiting for you.
Art, entertainment and sensational waterways – now that’s something worth celebrating.
