When it comes to terrifying animals- sharks are right up there…but to learn more about these largely misunderstood animals, hurry to the Australian Museum for the last weeks of one of the most exciting exhibitions on show – Sharks!
Sharks is a chance to fully submerge yourself in the thrilling world of sharks, dispelling many myths about these incredible creatures. You’ll learn about the different species of sharks, including ones that existed in prehistoric times. You’ll also learn about the special connection between south pacific cultures and sharks. The exhibition is interactive, with a giant VR shark tank, and many ‘hands-on’ opportunities.
While the Sharks exhibition is for a limited time only, there are many other reasons to visit the Australian Museum. There’s the permanent Minerals Gallery, with over 1800 sparkling rocks and gemstones on display. For curious kids, there’s also the new dedicated kids space- Burra- where kids can learn about first nations cultures, and stories, through interactive play.
With so much to sink your teeth into, there has never been a better time to visit the Australian Museum!
