One of the oldest pubs in western Sydney- the Log Cabin has stood on the banks of the Nepean since 1826. The times may have changed, but the sense of warm hospitality remains!
A Penrith institution, the Log Cabin has been welcoming guests for over a century! And folklore has it, that even Charles Darwin was once a patron, at this historic boozer. Today’s hungry diners can enjoy a modern Australian menu, with many international influences. Go- to dishes include the slow-roasted lamb shawarma, served with house-made pickles and Lebanese bread. The menu is also seafood- heavy with grilled scallops, served with siracha butter and green mango and jalapeno salsa, and a lovely miso- glazed salmon.
For a more elevated dining experience, just head upstairs to Sinclair’s. The jewel in the crown of the new renovation, Sinclair’s offers diners views- out over the Nepean- from the deck, and inside tables in a stylish new dining room. At Penrith’s very first hatted restaurant, guests can enjoy a seat at the ‘chef’s table’ where they can watch the team- headed up by Executive Chef Scott MIlls- at work. The menu here is a celebration of the seasons, and the incredible local produce found in the west.
