Sophie has some lockdown secrets to share with us, in her local
neighbourhood, the stunning Northern Beaches!
Exercise has been key to Sophie’s lockdown strategy and her secret weapon
has been Jason Death, from Concept 42 Community Gym. An ex NRL player,
Jason has had to pivot himself, due to COVID restrictions, taking his gym into
an outdoor space, and conducting fun, outdoor personal training sessions
with committed clients like Sophie. And with beautiful locations, like
Winnererreny Bay, working out is not only fun, but good for the spirits and
soul!
Proving that you can ‘have your cake, and eat it too’, one of Sophie’s fave
post- workout hangs is right next door to the gym, The French Basket. Owned
and run by native French woman, Lucile Varnier, The French Basket are
renowned for their incredible bread, and baked goods, produced in small
batches, using the finest quality ingredients, including flour, imported from
France. This place is the real deal!
Take- away has been another saviour for Sophie, in lockdown, and one of her
go- to joints, in her LGA, is Narrabean’s Mexicano. During lockdown, Mexicano
have been serving up street food, including a killer paella, as well as delivering
tacos, nachos, fajitas and more from their regular menu. And there’s no better
way to wash down the Mexican food than with one of Mexicano’s in-house
made margaritas, available for take- too, and in a variety of delicious flavors
from classic, to ginger, passionfruit and more!
