The North Shore has a whole heap of fantastic parks, but few are as big and as diverse as St Ives Showground. This massive expanse of bushland and recreational areas can host a range of large and small events.
One thing you’ll find on site is Treetops Adventure, a fun and challenging ropes course that caters to climbers as young as three and as old as eighty. There are five different levels featuring V nets, wobbly bridges, barrels and of course ziplines.
St Ives Showground is also the home of the Regional Playground, a fully accessible kids play space that attracts families from all over Sydney. Kids can swing, rock, slide and climb, while parents can chill out at the comfortable and picnic areas.
If you’re hungry, head to the Black Knight Café and sample owner Luca’s impeccable Roman-style pizzas. Crispy on the bottom, and strewn with toppings like truffle, smoked cheese, porchetta and much more.
If you like mountain biking, there are fire trails and dedicated bike trails to enjoy. And that’s not all – there are markets, shows, ultra-marathons, dog rings and a whole lot more.
