Summer has arrived, and with it – one of the best sports on the planet – cricket! Cricket season is kicking off, and the best place to get your cricket fix is at the Sydney Cricket Ground!
Sydney’s original home of sport, the SCG, is the spiritual home of one of the greatest games of all time. The SCG will be hosting a huge summer of cricket, with the Sydney Sixers matches, the Big Bash League, Shield and Test matches, and the New Year’s Test against Pakistan.
For those interested in the history of the SCG, the SCG tour is a chance to ‘walk in the path of champions’ on this fun and fascinating 90 minute guided walking tour. Tour highlights include the chance to get up close to the field of play, as well as entry into the Historic Members Reserve, the SCG Museum, the Richie Benaud Media Centre, and even into the inner sanctum of the Players Dressing Room!
Food offerings at the SCG have also come a long way, from the humble meat pie and sausage roll! Merivale now offers everything from pizza and falafels, to dumplings and more. There will also be a delicious Pakistani-inspired menu, which will be rolled out in time for the New Year’s Test: Australia V Pakistan.
