Australia’s premier food and drink festival, Tasting Australia presented by Journey Beyond runs from May 8 – 17 2026. It showcases a host of Australian and international chefs, the finest South Australian produce and the incredibly diverse and beautiful landscapes of South Australia.
Tasting Australia is one of the longest-running events of its kind in the nation, and there’s plenty to see and do, with more than 150 events across all 12 South Australian regions.
As always, the Town Square in the middle of Adelaide will be the hub of the festival, and entry is free. From there you can access ticketed events, take part in wine tastings with the winemaker or just enjoy some truly excellent food and drink from South Australian vendors.
Food events this year include the club program involving the Italian Club, Polish Club and more, the Tasting Australia by Road where tours will leave the town square and travel to some incredible and surprising food experiences, and a trip on the Ghan with meals presented by Infinity’s Mark Best and Spanish chef Nieves Barraga Mohacho.
Other international guest include the genre-breaking Punk Royale from Stockholm and American wine guru Andre Hueston Mack.
