Woy Woy Hotel

The oldest pub on the Central Coast now has a brand-new look. The Woy Woy Hotel, built in 1897 and affectionately known as “the old pub” by locals, has had a multi-million dollar facelift that pays respect the older parts of the hotel and adds a fresh new dimension to what’s on offer.

One of the best new features of the renovation is the massive beer garden and kids play area on the former carpark at the back of the hotel. Here families can eat, drink, relax and browse on a really exciting pub menu.

For entrees, try the burrata with green olive dressing or the huge plate of pork bites served with a roasted pineapple salsa. Both are huge and perfect for sharing.

Woy Woy is a fishing town, and the seafood selection of locally sourced produce is a real treat. The market fish changes daily depending on what’s available, and the octopus cooked sous vide and grilled is to die for.

Pizza makes a regular appearance on many pub menus these days, but no-one does pizza like the Woy Woy Hotel. This is Detroit-style pizza, toppings such as pepperoni with hot honey and the supreme ooze into the fluffy soft crust, while the cheesy edges give a great crunch.

And that’s just a start. If you love a pub lunch, or dinner, The Woy Woy Hotel should be at the top of your list as a daytrip dining destination.
