There’s so much to see and do in Sydney’s Western Suburbs, including some fantastic foodie options. From the Blue Mountains to Penrith, and the Hawkesbury region, there are heaps of dining gems to uncover. You just need to know where to look!
Start your food journey at Lochiel House. This 200-year-old building in Kurrajong is filled with history and the restaurant is now run by local couple, Nathan and Tayla. They’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and they describe their menu as Modern Australian cuisine, with an exciting Asian twist. The ‘pot sticker dumplings’ are a must try! Outside, the gardens are beautiful and the chefs source much of their fresh produce from the kitchen garden on site, as well as the local area. Stay tuned for news on their upcoming bed and breakfast!
You’ll find Vincent Diner in Glenbrook, at the foot of the Blue Mountains. This family owned and operated restaurant is a local dining favourite, serving delicious homemade dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kitchen supports the local community, sourcing many of the ingredients from nearby, and almost everything used on the menu is made onsite and from scratch! Be sure to try one of the moreish cakes. Stop by on your trip to, or from, the mountains!
