The Quarantine Station, at Sydney’s North Head, was once a place where sick people were isolated as a back-stop to prevent outbreaks of infectious diseases in Australia. Today, it’s not only a place of beauty, but of wellbeing too!
At Q Station, you can learn about the lives and sea journeys of hundreds of passengers, who came here by boat, at the Visitor Centre and Museum. Right next door, you can settle in for coffee, brekky, brunch or lunch at the Wharf Cafe and Bar.
And right now, for a limited time only, you can also enjoy the perfect winter-warmer experience at Sauna at Q! Choose from an individual, or group session, lasting up to an hour in the European-style sauna. Kick back in the comfortable confines of the hardwood sauna, while you enjoy the view, out over the harbour. Once you’ve warmed up, guests are encouraged to jump in the ocean, before returning once again to the warmth of the sauna!
It’s sauna season at Q Station, and you will love every minute!
2026 Update!
Sauna at Q is no longer running at Quarantine Station however, Cedar & Salt are still hosting their outdoor saunas in Manly at Long Reef Beach.
