Byron is renowned for hot people and cold beer and Mel’s checking out both on a Behind the Barrel tour.
Behind the Barrel is like a winery bus tour, with the focus is on hops and spirits rather than grapes. Jarryd owns and runs company and holds full day and half day tours.
Jarryd will be taking Mel and a busload of rent-a-crowd to three locations. The first is Lord Byron Distillery which was crowned the most Sustainable Distillery in Australia 2021. Then it’s on to lunch and some coldies at Stone & Wood, another sustainable brewery that gives back to the community. The afternoon will wrap up with a beer and a boogie at Wandana Brewing Co., the world’s first brewery that plays non-stop tunes to the brew. It’s as Byron as!
