Here we go again! ‘MAMMA MIA! The Musical’ is back on the Sydney stage. It’s a verified global musical phenomenon, but this is true Australian production, with all Australian creatives and a spectacular local cast.
And the show, currently on stage at the Lyric Theatre, features 22 of ABBA’s best loved hits including Dancing Queen, Voulez Vous, S.O.S. and Take a Chance on Me.
The show is set on a Greek island, where Sophie played by Sarah Krndija, on the eve of her wedding, brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island in an attempt to find her real father. Her adoring fiancé Sky is played by Lewis Francis.
Sophie’s mother Donna is played by Elise McCann, and along with her besties Tanya and Rosie, played by Deone Zanotto and Bianca Bruce, make up the Dynamos, in full ABBA-style costumes and platform boots.
The three would-be Dads are played by Martin Crewes as Sam, Tim Wright as Bill and Drew Livingston as Harry.
