Mel McLaughlin is the face of Seven Sport in Sydney, but what does she get up to on her Sydney Weekend?
If she’s not off at a game or running the boundary line, Mel loves nothing more than bit of down time with dogs George and Alice in the park. The Brussels Griffin pups are full of beans and ready to run.
Mel’s local is Tunks Park at Northbridge where you have the harbour, the famous Northbridge bridge and the Carino Macchino coffee cart, manned by local legend Steve. The toasties are absolutely incredible and the brownies are both massive and so decadent. Wash them both down with a superb coffee and you’ll be right for the day.
If Mel’s not reporting on the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, you might find her down at the FIFA Fan Festival site at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour. This is the first time that a FIFA Women’s World Cup has had live events like this and these is one in all nine of the host cities. Head down for music, entertainment, games to play and of course, all the action of the football on the big screen.
