There’s plenty to love about Sydney’s magnificent North Head; spectacular harbour views, breathtaking bushland, and the rich history of the Army Barracks and Quarantine Station – and in case you need another reason, it’s about to be home to a spectacular annual outdoor musical festival!
This weekend Candice heads to Manly’s stunning North Head for the inaugural Night At The Barracks concert series. Set under the stars, high above the harbour at the Parade Ground within The Barracks Precinct at the North Head Sanctuary, this event runs until October 9 and features some of Australia’s favourite pop, rock, dance and jazz acts including Josh Pyke, Something For Kate, Bjorn Again, The Rubens, James Morrison and his Big Band, the legendary Tim Finn and so many more.
As well as sampling some of the fantastic local fare at the many food and beverage stalls, Candice also chats to Australia’s leading lady of Jazz, Emma Pask about what it’s like to perform alongside the leading man of Jazz, James Morrison, in this one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly all-ages alfresco concert series. Tickets are selling fast so be quick, because Night at the Barracks is guaranteed to be a night to remember!
