When it comes to its food scene, Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains has come a long way.
What was formerly a snow town is now open for business year-round. And one restaurant that has stood the test of time is Bacco Italian, having been in operation for over 25 years.
Named after the Roman god of wine (among other things), Bacco specialises in traditional, authentic Italian cuisine. Choose from a range of pizzas and pastas, and other offerings including primo steaks, and delicious house-made desserts, like their panacotta. At Bacco, you’re guaranteed great food, wine, service and atmosphere.
If you prefer cuisine with a little more spice, the Cocina Mexican Grill and Cantina is where you’ll find it!
Owners Con and Donna developed a love of Mexican cuisine, while working as ski instructors in the United States. Having returned to Jindabyne, the place where they first met, they decided to open the cantina and the rest, as they say, is history.
A combination of Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican dishes is what you’ll find on this menu, together with Mexican beers and a great wine list. But to truly appreciate Mexican spirits, just head upstairs to the Agave Cocktail Bar, which boasts one of the most impressive and extensive tequila menus in the state.
