Women At Work

Ever paid $500 for someone to come and put a piece of flat pack furniture together? Ever wished you had the skills to do it yourself?

Well it’s never too late to learn. Join a Get Handy workshop, run by the Female Tradie, Penny Petridis, either from her Marrickville workshop or in one of the courses she runs all over NSW.

If you’re a total beginner, there are courses that can show you what you need in a basic toolkit, and introduction to power tools, how to use those tools and some jobs you might want to use them for, like hanging a picture or cutting a piece of timber.

Once you’re skilled up, you’ll be ready to tackle more of Penny’s courses, like learning how to put together a flat pack kitchen over a whole weekend workshop.

Don’t hire a handyman or a handy woman, become one!
