There’s nothing worse than having high expectations when dining out, and then having your hopes dashed. Luckily, at the High Hopes Roadhouse, in Bilpin, your expectations are almost guaranteed to be exceeded! Run by renowned restauranter Sean, of ‘Sean’s’ in North Bondi the High Hopes Roadhouse offers hearty, humble food, showcasing the freshest of local produce. And just like a warm, familiar blanket, great hospitality is also a given. Located on the Bells Line of Road, High Hopes is a great spot to swing in for some cauliflower mac n’ cheese, or a hearty soup or steak. And don’t leave without stocking up on a classic selection of treats from the sweet shop out back.
It would be remiss to leave apple country without sampling the apples, and just down the road, from the High Hopes Roadhouse, is the Bilpin Cider Co. Offering seven alcoholic, and three non-alcoholic, ciders, the range is broad and derived from fresh- pressed apples, grown on the farm. Guests can wander the farm, meet, greet and feed the farm animals, including ‘Princess’ the alpaca. Back at the cellar door, guests can then sample the range of ciders, matched with beautifully pre-prepared platters for picnics, in the lush, green grounds.
