Get Caffeinated!

For many Sydney-siders, coffee is not only an essential start to the day, it’s an obsession! Sharing this obsession, bordering on religion, is Roastville Coffee Roasters in Marrickville, in Sydney’s inner west. Roastville is literally a ‘one- stop- coffee shop’, featuring a cafe, in- house training facilities and a giant coffee roaster. The motto at Roastville is ‘take a sip and travel the world’ as they offer a diverse range of coffees, produced in Central and South America, and all the way to Myanmar. Everything in the cafe is made in-house, except the bread which is produced by Brickfields Bakery. Highlight dishes include the Green Chilli Scramble with harissa sauce, the classic and hugely popular Dirty Bird, and the deliciously moreish Buttermilk Hotcakes.

For those keen to learn more about the humble bean, Roastville also run a series of workshops, include ‘Cupping’ where you can learn about the flavour and history of coffees from across the globe, as well as ‘Latte Art’ where you learn to make a barista-quality coffee, complete with decorative motifs on top! For the up-and-coming barista, as well as the home barista, there are also Barista courses available, taught by highly-trained professionals, where you learn everything from the mechanics of a coffee machine, all the way through to the perfect pour!
