Sydney Zoo – GLOW

While most zoos shut their doors at night, so the inhabitants can get some shut-eye, at the new Sydney Zoo in western Sydney, but at nightfall, they’re getting their glow on!

Glow at Sydney Zoo is the biggest and brightest light festival in western Sydney, with over fifty incredible light sculptures and installations and literally thousands of mesmerising lights!

The festival- which runs from 13 May- 18 June- is divided into two zones- The Light Walk and the Glow Zone. Visitors enter The Light Walk through a twinkling tunnel of fairy lights, and then follow the giant animal lanterns. At Shadow Play, you and your little ones can bust a move, all in the name of charity. Sydney Zoo is also home to Australia’s largest reptile and nocturnal house where even the scorpions will be getting their festival glow on!

The Glow Zone is where you’ll find some great interactive installations including the Giant Trumpet Flowers, which can be played, and Octopoda- a tentacle percussion ensemble featuring eight drums! There’s also rides, a cool mini ice rink,  roaming performers and a range of great food trucks ensuring no-one goes hungry. Even the food and drinks glow with glow in the dark fairy floss and Glow Light Bulb drinks!

So come and feel the glow with the little lights in your life!
