My Sydney Weekender with Nedd Brockmann

He’s the young tradie who raised over 2.5 million dollars for the homeless by running across Australia, and this weekend Matt Baseley catches up with him to checkout his beautiful hometown of Forbes.

At just 23, Nedd Brockmann created international headlines last year when he ran nearly 4000kms from Cottesloe in Perth to Sydney’s Bondi Beach in a staggering 47 days.

Join Matt and Nedd as they take a leisurely jog along the Central West’s newest tourist attraction, Sculpture Down the Lachlan. The art trail features more than 20 larger than life artworks along the stunning Lachlan river between Forbes and Condobolin.

After feasting on ‘the best pies on the planet’ at Nedd’s Auntie’s bakery, The Bakehouse, in Forbes, Matt and Nedd head for a hit at the picturesque Forbes Golf Club which is renowned as one of the best courses in Country NSW.

Next stop is a mouth-watering dining experience of sumptuous local produce with Nedd and his parents at Forbes’ newest restaurant Donna’s Table, and finally, Matt indulges in a little luxury eco-accommodation at the award-winning solar passive, self-contained Girragirra Retreat.
