Reflections Holiday Parks: Lake Keepit

The best family holidays are the ones where you can make the kind of memories that you can keep for life. And at Reflections Holiday Parks Lake Keepit, it’s the perfect spot to do just that!

Just over half an hour from Tamworth, and Gunnedah, the Lake Keepit Holiday Park offers ‘off-the-grid’ camping with a range of powered and unpowered sites, and cabins. For a ‘true-blue’ camping experience, the ‘Bush Camping’ setting is where you can pull up, riverside, and pick your perfect plot. The lake is a nature-lovers, and fisherman’s, paradise. Two-thirds the size of Sydney Harbour, it’s also a haven for watersports, from sailing to water and jet skiing and SUP’ing. This is a great space to get the kids off the screens, and back to nature. Within the park, there’s also a mini water and skate park, so your little ones will never be bored.

While it’s hard to leave such a beautiful setting, there’s one farmhouse in the region that is definitely worth a visit! The Carroll Gap Farmhouse is owned and run by local legend Jan, whose garden is an absolute oasis. Jan runs Australian country cooking classes, where guests get to pick produce from her organic vege garden, and then cook it in her historic farmhouse. The experience ends with a communal lunch around Jan’s table, overlooking Jan’s beautiful garden.
