Reflections – Norah Head

The NSW coastline runs for over two thousand kilometres, and if its laid-back coastal vibes you’re after, Norah Head ticks all the boxes! Less than two hours drive north of Sydney, Norah Head is a lovely seaside village. Here you’ll find unspoilt beaches, a cracking surf break, and a lovely heritage listed lighthouse.

For those keen on visiting the lighthouse, tours are run daily by volunteers who will take you to the first balcony, and the up the 96 steps to the tower balcony, where you’ll find spectacular views of the coastline, and see the inner workings of the lighthouse.

If you’re keen to go one step further, you can even stay on-site in one of the Reflections Lighthouse Keepers Cottages. There are three cottages in total, which used to house the lighthouse keeper, the assistant, and their families. Today, they have been recently refurbed, to include all the creature comforts you’ll need, while maintaining their heritage essence and charm.

Norah Head has a cracking break and is home to the Norah head Surfing Reserve. For those keen to learn to surf, Norah Head Surf Coaching operates out of Soldier’s Beach, and offers classes for all ages and abilities.

For some of the best ‘beach bites’ in town, head straight to the Beach Haus! Light and breezy, just like the town itself, the Beach Haus menu features dishes with locally sourced produce, wherever possible, as well as great coffee, and kombucha on tap!
