The coastal town of Huskisson in Jervis Bay, just over two hours south of Sydney, is like a warm, familiar blanket. From some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, to icons like the Huskisson Hotel and Huskisson Pictures, you know what to expect. But there’s something brewing in the bay and people are ‘hopping’ to it!
The Jervis Bay Brewing Co is a welcome addition to Husky. Located in the industrial estate, just outside town, the town brews a range of tasty beers, from ales to pilsners and stouts, on site. As well as top-shelf beer, there’s also wine, cider and non-alcoholic beverages. Patrons can enjoy their brews in the large, outdoor beer garden. There’s live entertainment, with local musicians performing regularly. And to wash down the golden amber, there’s also a revolving mix of food trucks, churning out wood-fired pizzas, burgers, nachos and more!
For those after action and adventure, SUP with George is a great way to explore Jervis Bay. George, a local in the bay, will take you on a SUP tour of some of the most magical parts of the bay, as well as to secret and secluded beaches. George also runs a pop-up bike service so you can poodle around town, and the bay, on the back of a bike.
For those who enjoy a luxurious bush experience, the newly- revamped Bay and Bush Cottages are a welcome addition to town. Situated on 27 acres of bushland, in Wollamia, there are 8 individual cottages to choose from, each beautifully- styled and all with kitchens, spa baths and TV’s. The cottages are a perfect mix of bush, and stunning beaches, just down the road.
