Clear your calendars, music-lovers, because after a knockout inaugural year, Night At The Barracks is returning to Manly’s stunning North Head Sanctuary this spring for an epic open air concert series.
Set over four jam-packed weekends on the grounds of the historic Barracks Precinct, 2023’s legendary line-up includes Hoodoo Gurus, Missy Higgins, Groove Terminator and Tina Arena – as well as three of the country’s favourite performers with whom Lizzy Lovette catches up with this weekend.
Join Lizzy as she chats to Australian music icon, Kate Ceberano, at the majestic Manly Pacific Hotel about ‘My Life Is A Symphony‘. Performing with The Metropolitan Orchestra, the show is a selection of Kate’s personal favourites and is a breathtaking celebration of her brilliant four decade career.
On Manly Pacific’s spectacular rooftop, Lizzy gets into the swing of things, poolside, with legendary Aussie entertainer, Tom Burlinson to find out all about his show; ‘Tom Burlinson Big Band – Sinatra and the Kings of Swing‘. Tom and his All Star Bid Band will celebrate not only the incomparable Frank Sinatra, but many of the stars of vocal swing, including Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennet, Sammy Davis Jnr, and modern swingers, Michael Bublé and Harry Connick Jnr.
Lastly, at the Barracks Precinct, Lizzy gets the low-down on the ‘James Morrison Motown Experience‘ from the man himself; jazz genius, James Morrison. With a big 11-piece band, and taking time along the way to talk about the origins of Motown and the stories behind many of the well-known tracks, this is James Morrison bringing the sounds of the Motor City to downtown Manly!
