The Cabramatta Moon Festival is one of Sydney’s most vibrant celebrations of food, culture and community, and it returns to Cabramatta Town Centre on Sunday 20th September 2026.
Festivities kick off at 11am with food and market stalls, rides, kids’ activities, lion dancing, and plenty of live entertainment. Crowd favourites will return, including the children’s chopstick challenge, the phở and mooncake eating competitions, and the popular lantern parade. And don’t miss the spectacular fireworks display at the end of the day.
Food lovers can savour the flavours of the Charcoal Food Precinct, inspired by the atmosphere of Southeast Asian street food culture. Plus there’s the all new Battle of the Broths with celebrated Vietnamese-Australian home cook Duncan Lu. Duncan will put phở and bún bò huế to the test and visitors can sample both, cast their vote and help decide the ultimate crowd favourite in this interactive culinary showdown.
Put Fairfield City Council’s Cabramatta Moon Festival in your diary, 11am-8pm Sunday 20 September 2026. Located at Cabramatta Town Centre, with free entry! Come Hungry. Leave Obsessed.
